Wedding in Geelong and Batesford

On a brisk winter's day in Geelong I had the privilege of taking the wedding photos for the amazing and fun couple Shavonne and Jon! We had an absolute ball taking photos with you, the bridal part,y and family and friends!

Firstly we visited Jon who was getting ready with his groomsmen. They proudly flaunted their allegiance to various 'non Geelong' AFL clubs via their hosiery. The chickens found this very interesting. Unfortunately, there were no Cat's socks which made me sad. (Insert winky smilely face here.)

On to where the bride Shavonne and her entourage were getting ready. As well as being gorgeous and awesome, Shavonne was also the lucky bride to receive free hair and makeup (an offer I advertised earlier this year) courtesy of the generous and fabulous Lauren Collins from Impressions of Kilsyth and Couture Hair and Beauty. Lauren travelled from the other side of Melbourne early in the morning and did the most beautiful job with the bridal party. It was a pleasure getting to know you Lauren and I look forward to seeing you in the future!

Shavonne and here bridesmaids looked absolutely beautiful from head to toe, I especially loved the crystal detail on the back of Shavonne's dress (they kept sparkling at me) and the cornflower blue of the bridesmaid's dresses was a perfect compliment for the light of a winter day.

The ceremony took place at the Kingdom Hall in Marshall then we rambled around Geelong for bridal party photos. They started at the historic Bell Terrace, on to Cunningham Pier at the Geelong Waterfront where Jon had proposed to Shavonne (a re-enactment for fun) then down to the Batesford Bridge and the spectacular Dog Rocks.

The final destination was the lovely Batesford Hotel which was decorated beautifully by the very talented Melissa King of Howdoesyourfamilygrow (Look her up on instagram and facebook.) Melissa baked shortbreads for the favours and then stamped each biscuit individually with each guest's name. Wow, iust to show a small example into how detail orientated and dedicated Melissa is!

FInally, I just want to say, Jon and Shavonne, you are such a beautiful couple with a terrific sense of humour. I feel very honoured to know you and I wish you all the very best in your future together.

Thank you and enjoy the following highlights fromt the day!
